Laurel and Hardy's names in other languages

It's interesting to see how Laurel and Hardy's names are spelled in languages other than their native English language. I've seen several lists that show these, but I've compiled the most comprehensive list that I know of - see opposite. Try to go down the list quickly and pronounce the names - it's fun. I'm surely not a linguist, so I can't swear to the spelling in all cases - so if you know of a different spelling or a language entry that I'm missing, please let me know so I can make the change on my list. A few notes are in order: Spain uses the L&H name El Gordo y el Flaco; in fact, you can say that many/all of the Spanish speaking countries in the world, although not listed, also use that same spelling. The same can be said for other countries (such as France) where their native language(French) is spoken. The Galicia area, shown on the list, includes peoples in Central Europe in the area around the Ukraine and Polish region. I have not included ALL of the SLIGHT variations that I've found within some languages: for example - as in Romania where I've seen both "Stan si Bran" and "Stan and Bran". Lastly, I have several L&H comics from Finland that show the Boys' name on the cover as Ohukainen Ja Paksukainen - now that's interesting, huh?? (Did you pronounce it right???)!
